Hidden Number Live in Portland 10/19/8

Hidden Number played their first show outide of Washington Sunday October 19th at Portland's Kelly's Olympian venue. The night went exceptionally well and the turnout was fantastic even for a Sunday evening. The show was put together by Brooker, the Post-Grunge compilation mastermind. The evening included fellow Seattle Post-Grunge artists The Greenriver Thrillers, Portland's X's for I's, and The Prick and the Burn.

Hidden Number opened the night with Deermachine, Friends4eVr, human_error, Fanged to Death, and You Are Transparent.

Followed by an intense set by the Thrillers, X's for I's and The Prick and the Burn, both of whom opted to forgo playing on the 4' stage and set up right infront of everyone on the floor.

The night was filled with amazing background music played by the sound guy- various Twin Peaks and Blue Velvet soundtrack cuts to name a few, the staff friendly, the food and drinks cheap.

Hidden Number unveiled three new shirt designs, selling a few along with some CDs.

Kai headed out after the show on a three and a half hour drive to make it in to work in the morning, while Josh set off to crash with old friends. Dean opted to crash in a closet of the hotel rented by Joe and His wife- noting an excellent night of sleep after a plesant shower.

The next morning we met up and headed to breakfast at Gienies, a fantastic restaurant with great food, delicious bloody mary's, and the cutest and friendliest waitresses ever.

oh gawd, my girlfriend ended up driving all the way back because she had the next day off. Or rather... the same day. We got in at 5am and then I went to work 4 hours later. In other words, totally worth it.
